Pocket scales are very handy to have around on the job. Instead of carrying a regular drafting scale like the one you used in drafting class or the one laying on your desk, try a pocket scale. They are great for taking a quick measurement while in the field. Some come in architectural scales, and some come in engineering scales, and some include both.
